Philippe Coutinho has joined Bayern Munich on a season-long loan deal from Barcelona with an option of buying on a permanent basis for £109.8m.
Coutinho will be wearing the No.10 shirt at Bayern, he underwent a medical at the club medical facility on Sunday after Barcelona accepts a fee upfront in the region of £7.78m and Bayern will be responsible for paying the wages of the Brazilian international, who has so far a worst 1 year at the Nou Camp.
He said after deal that for him “this is a new challenge in a new country at one of the best clubs in Europe. I am looking forward to this challenge, I have big goals like the club do and I am confident I can do it with my new teammates.”
Bayern’s CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: “We have been working to sign Philippe Coutinho for some time now and we are so delighted that the transfer comes to a realization.”
