Liverpool is looking for a qualified backup for their first choice in the defense, Andy Robertson is the only player the have at the left-back position with James Milner only a makeup player in that position.
The other alternative to the position is young Yasser Larouci, who they think is not matured enough to take up a first-team responsibility. Liverpool is seriously in search of a player that could be relied on in that position should Robertson be unavailable for selection.
They have seen the just relegated Norwich City defender Jamal Lewis as a great option in that position and they are willing to make a move for the defender.
However, Norwich will not be allowing their price asset to be leaving cheaply and will be looking for around £20m before considering a possible deal and are confident of getting that amount as Jamal Lewis still has three years left on his current contract at the club.
Although Liverpool has not made any formal approach yet, they will be willing to do business at around the £10m region.
